2025 Ahwatukee Little League Evaluations
Everything you need to know to prepare for the upcoming 2025 season showcase!
WHO NEEDS TO ATTEND: All
registered players who are
league age 7-12 years old need to attend. If your player is registered for Coach Pitch or T-Ball, they do not need to attend evaluations.
Exception:
League age 7 Coach Pitch players are encouraged to attend but it is not a requirement as they may not be drafted into Farm.
HOW TO DETERMINE LEAGUE AGE:
League age is based on the player's age as of August 31, 2025.
- Example: If a child turns 10 on August 31, 2025, their league age is 10. If a child turns 10 on September 1, 2025, their league age is 9.
- If you're unsure which league age division your child belongs to, please use the league age calculator and check the age chart.
WHEN ARE EVALUATIONS:

- Saturday, January 18th: Players with last names between M - Z

WHAT HAPPENS DURING EVALUATIONS:
During evaluations, players will participate in a series of drills involving catching fly balls, fielding grounders, hitting and base running. Players league age 9 and older will also have the opportunity to showcase their pitching and catching abilities if interested.
IS MY CHILD GUARANTEED A SPOT?
Every child who is signed up for little league is guaranteed a spot on a team! Evaluations are held so that coaches may prepare themselves for the draft in order to create an even disbursement of talent across teams in each division.
WHAT IF MY CHILD CANNOT ATTEND:
If your child cannot attend the date their last name falls on, they may attend the other showcase date. If your child cannot attend either showcase date, they become a "hat pick". This means they get placed in the lowest possible eligible division. Rest assured, they are still guaranteed a spot on a team.
If your child cannot attend either showcase date (1/11 or 1/18),
please email: playeragent@ahwatukeelittleleague.org
