Ahwatukee Little League All-Stars

What is a Little League "All-Star"?

In Little League, “All-Stars” are the premier teams representing their local League at postseason tournaments—from District play all the way to the Little League® World Series. Each All-Star roster is made up of the top players in an age division, selected to compete for championships, sportsmanship honors, and the pride of carrying their community’s banner on the national (and international) stage.

Key Features of Little League All-Stars Teams

  • District Champions: Advance by winning your local District tournament.

  • Age-Division Specific: Separate All-Star brackets for 8U–12U and 13–16U (Juniors/Seniors).

  • Selection Process: Coaches and League officials nominate and vote on players based on skill, attitude, and commitment.

  • International Pathway: Regional champions earn a spot in the Little League® World Series in Williamsport, PA.

Eligibility & Selection

  • Players must have participated in at least 50% of regular-season games in their division.

  • Residency or school attendance requirements per Little League rules must be met.

  • Coaches evaluate each candidate on skill level, teamwork, sportsmanship, and dedication.

Tournament Structure

  1. District Tournament: Local Leagues compete; district winners advance.

  2. Sectional Tournament: District champions face neighboring districts.

  3. Regional Tournament: Sectional winners vie for a World Series berth.

  4. Little League® World Series: The two-week international event held each August in Williamsport, PA.
