Little League International has recommended that all leagues “exercise an abundance of caution and implement a temporary suspension of all league activities until no earlier than May 11.” Along with guidance from the CDC and our Federal, and State governments, Ahwatukee Little League has decided to suspend all activities until May 11. We will be monitoring the situation daily and will provide an update to this date if it changes as soon as possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Can I get a refund if the season is cancelled?
A. Ahwatukee Little League’s longstanding policy is to not provide refunds after the first game of the season is played. However, we are looking into alternatives due to the suspension of the league. More information will be provided.

Q. If the season is being suspended to May 11, are we even going to have the rest of the season?

A. We will make every attempt to continue the season once the suspension is lifted. The season may be abbreviated so that we can get playoffs completed by the Friday before Memorial Day. However, this may change as we get additional  guidance from Little League International, the CDC, and the Federal and State governments.

Q. Where can I find information on the latest news from Little League International?

A. You can visit https://www.littleleague.org/player-safety/coronavirus-update/ for the latest updates provided by Little League International.

Q. Are events like the Picnic, Picture Day, GCU Day, and Dbacks Day all cancelled too?
A. As of now, all activities and events are postponed. When we have a date on when to restart activities, we will try and reschedule these events, time permitting.

Q. What does this mean for my 12 year old if the season does get cancelled?
A. We are awaiting guidance from Little League International on 12 year olds if the season is cancelled. They have not made a determination yet. We will provide any information once we receive it.

Q. Is All-Stars cancelled too?
A. As of now, All Stars is not cancelled, just postponed. Little League International has not decided on new dates for the Little League World Series. Once decided, the Regional tournament dates will be set, which will then set the State tournament, which sets the District tournament. We will know more once Little League International makes a decision on the Little League World Series.
