Join us Saturday, February 22nd for our 2025 Opening Day Ceremony.

Start Time: 8AM sharp

Location: Ahwatukee Park: 4700 E Warner Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85044

Attire: All players are in uniform, including their grey baseball pants.

Ceremony Includes: Opening remarks, sponsor recognition, each player called onto the field by their coach, the Little League Pledge, league group photo, national anthem and ceremonial first pitch. 

Order of Divisions Announced: Majors, AAA, AA, Farm, Coach Pitch and Tball. The All-Stars teams will be honored near the end of the ceremony. 

Notable Highlights: 
John O'Callaghan, singer-songwriter and musician from the band The Maine, will throw this year's ceremonial first pitch. A former Ahwatukee Little League player and All-Star, John returns to the field where it all began.

Performed by Ahwatukee local and NBA Suns in-game host, Alicia Blanco. A Desert Vista High School graduate, Alicia was crowned Miss Arizona in 2009 and placed as second runner-up in the Miss USA pageant that same year. Both of her nephews play for the Coach Pitch Cubs.

League Videographer: Highlights of the ceremony will be recorded by Cory Davis of Yellowbox, a Mountain Pointe alum. He specializes in video production, ranging from music videos to brand and business content. Instagram: @yellowboxfilms

After the ceremony, no photos are allowed on the field, as it must be prepped immediately for the game to follow. Please remind your team to stay off the base paths and infield after the ceremony.

The Ahwatukee Board of Management has provided information about parking restrictions. Areas marked with red X’s are off-limits for Opening Day. Carpooling, getting dropped off, or planning to park and walk is advised to help alleviate parking congestion.
